contribution made. We have to continue to support each other, and to stand up for those who stood up for Hillary, and for us.

Sheila Jackson Lee stood up and voted against FISA too. That makes her grade A in my book.

It makes me wonder if that is why the local OH party leaders tried to kneecap Dennis Kucinich in his primary. He had the audacity to go on the campaign trail and point out that he was actually in office when he voted against the war. There were rumors that they were going to go after Shirley Tubbs Jones too for standing up for Hillary.

Heidi Li, Do you have anymore details on Jackson Lee's Democratic opponent? I went in search of news articles after reading this and could find none. There was talk of a write-in campaign last month by a local business owner, but he decided against that. News agencies are reporting that Jackson Lee is running against a Republican candidate and a Libertarian candidate. They are also reporting that Jackson Lee has almost $200,000 while her republican opponent only has $7,000. No reports on the Libertarian's budget. If you could provide more info, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Liz I.

Sheila Jackson Lee is running against John Faulk, a Republican, Patrick Warren, a Libertarian and Steven Warshell, of the Socialist Workers party.

Supporting down ticket Democrats is a good idea. That's why both Senator Clinton and Senator Obama are featured prominently on Representative Lee's website:

Senator Obama is not supporting any opponent of Sheila Jackson Lee.
