Thanks for posting this, Heidi. I never see these sort of articles in the mainstream press. One of the things I noticed immediately, from reading the interview section of this post, is that Dr. Liskov seems to be extremely articulate. So often scientists and mathematicians are deficient in language and writing skills, either because it's one of nature's trade-offs or else because they think that being an all-around scholar just isn't important as long as they succeed in their chosen specialty. Dr. Liskov doesn't suffer from that deficiency.
